EMU Capacity Building Seminar in Tallinn, Estonia 16.-17.10.2015
EMU Capacity Building seminar ‘Many Learners, Many Pedagogies’ which had its first edition organised in Vaasa, Finland in 2013, the second one in Nyon, Switzerland in 2014 and the third one in Prague, Czech Republic in 2015, will have its fourth edition taking place in the beautiful city of Tallinn 16.-17.10.2015. The event will be hosted by the Estonian Union of Music Schools.
The seminar will explore different kinds of pedagogies including group pedagogy, net pedagogy, early childhood music education, music education for children with special needs as well as for exceptionally talented children and elderly people.
The target group of the seminar is music school directors and teachers as well as people working in national music school associations. The seminar suits well for any person who is interested in developing new pedagogical skills and tools.
The registration fee is 160 € without the accommodation and 225 € including one hotel night in a single room in Park Inn by Radisson Central Tallinn. Should you be interested in coming a day earlier or stay longer, please contact the hotel directly for your arrangement.
Registration fee includes dinner 16.10. and lunch 17.10. as well as refreshments during the seminar.

The XII European Youth Music Festival
The XII European Youth Music Festival - EMUSIK 2016 will take place 5 – 8 May 2016 in Donostia - one of the 3 capital cities of The Basque country. Up to 7500 students from all over Europe may participate. Interested Music Schools should contact their national associations to register!

EMU Capacity Building Seminar “Group Pedagogy“ in Lucerne, Switzerland 6 – 7 November 2015
Herewith we would like to invite you to register for the new EMU Capacity Building seminar ‘Group Pedagogy’ which will be taking place in Lucerne, Switzerland 6 - 7 November 2015 with many exciting sessions and wonderful speakers. The event will be hosted by the Musikschule Luzern.
The seminar will explore group pedagogy from different angels: instrumental and vocal teaching in groups, distance learning in groups (with Geza Szilvay) as well as group dynamics and diverse pedagogical methods e.g the Colourstrings approach.
The target group of the seminar is music school directors and teachers as well as people working in national music school associations. The seminar suits well for any person who is interested in developing new pedagogical skills and tools.

POČETAK I RAZVOJ ETNOMUZIKOLOGIJE
U početku su korišćeni nazivi komparativna muzikologija, folklorna muzika, muzička etnologija, da bi se polovinom XX veka ustalio naziv etnomizikologija.
Predmet izučavanja su tradicionalna muzika i muzički instumenti od primitivnih naroda do civilizovanih nacija, dakle proučava plemensku i narodnu, kao i sve vrste nezapadne umetničke muzike kao i razne sociološke aspekte muzike, pojavu muzičke akulturacije i ukrštanje uticaja stranih muzičkih elemenata. Umetnička i zabavna muzika nisu predmet izučavanja.
Sa porastom interesovanja za egzotičnu muziku krajem 18.veka javljaju se i prvi opisi tradicionalne muzike primitivnih naroda u putopisima. Prekretnicu čini pronalazak fonografa krajem 19.veka, aparata za snimanje i reprodukciju zvuka kao i uspostavljanje cent sistema kojim je moguće meriti I matematički izraziti intervalske odnose. Oktava je podeljena na 1200 centi tako da je svaki temerovani polustepen iznosio 100 centi. Time su uspeli da objasne i analiziraju tonalne odnose muzike primitivnih naroda.
Ocem etnomuzikologije smatra se engleski filolog i akustičar Aleksandar Elis koji je na osnovu tonskih merenja velikog broja instrumenata ustanovio da lestvični sistemi primitivnih naroda pokazuju drugačije intervalske odnose od do tada znanih, odnosno da je njihova muzika netemperovana.
Etnomuzikološka istraživanja su uvek kompleksna i interdisciplinarna jer obuhvataju proučavanja mesta i ulogu muzike u društvu, povezanost sa materijalnim životom, religijom, magijom, igrom pa čak i medicinom.
